Cuba beat Antigua and Barbuda 3-0 in soccerHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (acn) Cuba beat 3-0 Antigua and Barbuda in their fourth game for Group C of the 2018 CONCACAF Men´s U20 Championship, based in Bradenton, Florida, United States.

The Cuban goals were scored by attacking midfielder Geobel Perez at 23 rd and 77th minutes and forward Christian Flores (38´), according to the official website of the contest.
Thus, Perez scored his third goal in the tournament, tying with Rolando Oviedo as Cuba´s best scorer so far, while Flores made his debut as goalscorer in this contest.
In the other matches of this group; the Dominican Republic thrashed 12-1 Saint Maarten, with a poker by Erick Paniagua, and Honduras defeated 4-0 Belize, with highlight to Josue Villafranca, author of the four goals of the winning side.
This Pool is headed by Honduras with four wins, no loss and twelve points, followed by Cuba (9), the DR and Antigua, with 6 units both but the first has better goal difference, Belize (3) and Saint Maarten (0).
The tournament is attended by 34 sides and after an initial phase of six groups, the winners of each pool will advance to the qualifying round, where they will be divided into two three-team groups.
Cuba´s only option of advancing to the qualification stage is to largely thrash Saint Maarten in their final group match and expect that the leader Honduras to lose to Antigua and Barbuda.
The competition will determine the four CONCACAF representatives at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland and it will also determine the CONCACAF teams playing at the 2019 Pan American Games men's soccer tournament in Lima.
The largest Caribbean island is seeking for its second qualification to a FIFA U20 World Cup as they only achieved that goal in the edition of Turkey 2013.
