Cuba to face Honduras CONCACAF Men´s U20 ChampionshipHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 5 (acn) Cuba will have a crucial match today against Honduras, favorite team of group C of the 2018 CONCACAF Men´s U20 Championship, based in Bradenton, Florida, United States.
So far, the squad coached by Raul Gonzalez Triana has balance of two wins and no loss, as they made their debut by thrashing Belize (6-1) and then beat the Dominican Republic (2-1).

The tournament is attended by 34 sides and after an initial phase of six groups, the winners of each pool will advance to the qualifying round, where they will be divided into two three-team groups.
The competition will determine the four CONCACAF representatives at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland and it will also determine the CONCACAF teams playing at the 2019 Pan American Games men's soccer tournament in Lima.
Honduras is the best team of this group, so Cubans will have to at least achieve a draw that keep them with options to lead the pool, as if losing, they would practically be eliminated from the World Cup on Polish soil.
The Central American team is also undefeated in two outings but have goal difference (GD) of +18 (19 for and 1 against) batter than Cuba, which has balance of +6 (8-2).
After two rounds, there are three sides tied on top of Group C with 6 points, as we must add Antigua and Barbuda which also amounts two wins and GD of +6 (7-1).
Cuba´s next rivals will be Antigua and Barbuda, on November 7 th, and Saint Maarten (9th).
The largest Caribbean island is seeking for its second qualification to a FIFA U20 World Cup as they only achieved that goal in the edition of Turkey 2013, also commanded by Gonzalez Triana.
