HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 12 (acn) Mr. Lesego Makgothi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho, spoke with Roberto Leon Richards, president of the Cuban Olympic Committee and first vice-president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym).
The Cuban executive gave the distinguished visitor details about the link of this sector with exponents of different ages as part of a concept that makes it available to everyone and also explained the integrating vision of an activity that prioritizes its relationship with various ministries in order to improve the population quality of life.
As part of the exchange, the chancellor emphasized the interest in receiving Cuban coaches and Physical Education teachers to train young talents from his country.
"In the long term, we hope teams from my nation to be trained in Cuba, especially in athletics and soccer, sports that we want to improve, although there are conditions to improve in others such as swimming, boxing and shooting," Makgothi said.
He stressed the importance of promoting sport at younger ages, and praised Cuba as a world leader in this regard.
The African diplomat arrived yesterday in Cuba on an official three-day visit, which already included a meeting with his counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
