Cuba earns the Bronze Medal in Senior Men´s NORCECA Pan American Cup

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 3 (acn) Cuba ranked third in the 13th Senior Men´s NORCECA Pan American Cup, based in Veracruz, Mexico, which granted five tickets to the 2019 Pan American Games.

Cubans beat 3-1 (20-25, 25-9, 25-18 and 25-17) Puerto Rico in the bronze medal match, according to the official website of the tournament.
Marlon Yang was the match scoring leader with 19 points and was supported by Miguel Lopez (17) and Jaime Herrera (16), while Maurice Torres (18) highlighted for the losing side.
Argentina won the contest when defeating 3-2 Brazil in the final while Mexico got the fifth and final berth to Lima 2019 by beating 3-1 Canada.
United States, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Peru ranked from 7th to 12th seat, in that order.
