Cuba to face Barbados Today in NORCECA U21 Men´s Continental Championship

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 27 (acn) Cuba will face Barbados today in the 2018 NORCECA U21 Men´s Continental Championship based in Havana´s Sports City Coliseum from August 27 to September 2.
According to the website of the contest, Cuba will make their debut today in Group A against Barbadians, to then face, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, respectively.

On the other hand, Group B will feature the matches Nicaragua-United States and Haiti-Canada.
The best team of each Poole will advance directly to semifinals this Friday, while those ranking second and third will play the quarterfinals on Thursday.
The medals discussion will be on Saturday, with United States, Cuba and Canada, best three in that order in the previous edition of 2016, as main favorites.
The all-time medal table of the NORCECA U21 Men´s Continental Championship is led by Cuba with five titles in 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2014, followed by Americans with three (2010, 2012 and 2016) and Canadians (1998 and 2002), respectively.
