Gold for Cuban 18 Year Old in Taekwondo

BARRANQUILLA, Colombia, Jul 23 (ACN) Cuban Taekwondo athlete, Arlettys Acosta in the 67 kilogram division got Gold on Monday at the Central American and Caribbean Games underway in Colombia.
Acosta won 5 to 3 in a hard battle against her Costa Rican counterpart Katherine Alvarado.
The 18 year old from Villa Clara maintained a high level of competition defeating Puerto Rican Rosa Hower 10 to 3 and Dominican Deysy Montes de Oca 16 to 7.
Erlandi Mustelier (80 kilograms) got Bronze with a victory of 13 to 5 in the quarterfinals against Honduran Miguel Ferrera, but later fell 12 to 18 in the semi-finals against Dominican Moises Hernandez.
Yamitsi Carbonell (over 73 kilos) finished without medals, losing 8 to 12 in the quarterfinals against Colombian Gloria Mosquera.
