Cuba loses second game to US Collegiate team

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 12 (acn) Cuba lost the second game of the match against the US national university squad taking place in Havana´s Latinoamericano stadium.

Americans won 3-0 this time over a team which again evidenced its poor offensive when batting only three hits against three pitchers.
The win went to right-hander starter Zack Hess, who, along with relievers Jake Agnos and Max Meyer, managed to retire 18 Cuban hitters consecutively, thus proving the disastrous moment the Caribbean line-up is going through, they only batted 5 hits in the first game.
Roy Hernandez, Cuba´s starter, earned the loss after allowing three runs in 1.1 innings.
After this result, the visiting team amounts two consecutive victories and the third game of a five-game match will be held today.
The current match is the seventh after its resume in 2012 and in the six previous ones the balance of wins favors 4-2 to the Americans, who have already won 18 of the 32 games if adding the two of the present match.
