Cuba wins the Boy´s U19 NORCECA Volleyball Championship

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 11 (acn) Cuba won undefeated the 2018 NORCECA Boy's Youth Continental Volleyball Championship U-19 held in San Jose, Costa Rica, thus earning a ticket to the coming world cup.

In the final, Cubans beat 3-0 (25-17, 25-17 and 25-20) Americans, whom they had previously defeated, also 3-0, in the qualifying stage.
According to the website of the contest, Cuban Alexei Ramirez was the match top scorer with 12 points, followed by his teammate Jose Miguel Gutierrez (11), while Clarke Godbol (7) highlighted for the losing side.
The bronze medal went to Puerto Rico, which won 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-13 and 25-17) over Guatemala (4th), while Nicaragua finished fifth when beating 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-19 and 25-9) Costa Rica, which ranked sixth, ahead of Honduras (7th).
