HAVANA, Cuba, May 3 (acn) Cuba will attend with 18 athletes, led by Ismael Borrero, Rio 2016 Olympic champion, the Senior Pan-American Wrestling Championship that will host Lima, Peru, from today to May 6th.
In addition to Borrero (67 kilograms), the Cuban Greco-Roman squad is also made up by Oscar Pino (130), world bronze medalist in Paris, last year; Luis Orta (60), Ariel Fiz (77), Daniel Gregorich (87) and Gabriel Rosillo (97).
Likewise, the Cuban women´s freestyle squad to this tournament is led by Lianna Montero (57) and Yudaris Sanchez (69), junior world silver medalists last year in Tampere, Finland, and also includes Yusnelys Guzman (50), Lilianet Duane (53), Yaquelin Stornell (62) and Mabelkis Capote (76).
Finally, the men´s freestyle team is headed by the multi-world medalists Alejandro Valdes (65), Livan Lopez (74) and Reineris Salas (97) and the squad also includes Reineris Andreus (57), Yuniesky Torreblanca (86) and Yudennys Alpajon (125).
The 2018 Senior Pan-American Wrestling Championship grants tickets to the Lima 2019 Pan-American Games to the best three seats of each division.
