Varadero to host NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit stop

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 27 (acn) The third stop of the 2018 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit, based in Varadero Beach, Cuba, will start today and will last till next Sunday.

Cuba registered six duos, three in each sex, headed by Nivaldo Diaz-Sergio Gonzalez and Dasiel Quesada-Karel Peña, in the men´s event, and Leila Martinez-Mailen Delis (women´s event); the latter ranked second in the opening stop of the season, in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Meanwhile, Diaz-Gonzalez, who finished fifth in Rio 2016 Olympics, will try to win for the fourth consecutive time this contest, while Quesada-Peña are the current NORCECA circuit champions.
The third stop of the 2018 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit is attended by 20 men´s duets and 17 women´s pairs.
