Cuban NPB Ballplayers continue improving Performances

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 23 (acn) The three Cuban players enrolled in the NPB club Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks this year continue improving their performances.

Both the slugger Alfredo Despaigne and lefty reliever Livan Moinello are recovering from uncertain starts this season and are giving away promising results to the fans of the Hawks.
Despaigne blasted his fourth homer of the season last Saturday and also amounts 11 RBIs, the leader in both stats is Japanese Hotaka Yamakawa of the Seibu Lions, with 7 and 21 respectively.
The DH and clean-up hitter of the Hawks was the NPB leader in homeruns and RBIs, with 35 and 103 respectively, last year.
Meanwhile, Moinello also gave signs of recovering when totaling six strikeouts in same amount of innings and allowing only four hits, with balance of one win and no loss and ERA of 6.00 as middle reliever of the NPB defending champion.
Finally, the case of infielder Yurisbel Gracial is even amazing as he was hired for the franchise this year and in only four games he has BA of .308, four hits in 13 at-bats, with 1 RBI.
The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks have another Cuban player, OF Oscar Colas, in its development squad for him to gain experience.
The franchise currently appears second with balance of ten wins and eight losses in the NPB Pacific League and it amounts 18 league pennants and 8 Japan Series championships, including those of the last season.
