Cuban Sierra to continue improving performance in UCI Women´s World Tour

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 10 (acn) Cuban Arlenis Sierra will try to improve her performance in the 2018 UCI World Tour when attending the Amstel Gold Race, in the Netherlands, seventh stop of the circuit.
Sierra, 25, runs for the Italian club Astana Momen´s Team and currently appears tenth in the individual ranking with 190 points in a list headed by Dutch Amy Pieters with 440 units.
The Caribbean rider has scored points in four of the five races she has been involved this season, she didn´t attend the fourth stop, and is the undisputed leader of her squad.
Her best performance was in the Gent-Wevelgem, in Belgium, where she ranked fourth and earned 100 points for the individual ranking.
Another Cuban, Heidy Pradera, who is only 20, also runs for the Astana although she is only gaining experience in a squad that hires mostly Italian U23 cyclists.
