HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 2 (ACN) Everything is ready for the start today of the friendly baseball series between two Cuban teams (Western and Eastern) against the professional clubs of the Diablos Rojos and the Oaxaca Guerreros, belonging to the summer circuit of the Mexican League.
The series will run until March 8th and there will be double headers every day, but on March 5th, which will be a resting day, and the games will be played at Havana´s Latinoamericano stadium and at Matanzas´ Victoria de Giron Park.
The Diablos Rojos, which are coached by Victor Bojorquez and was founded in 1940, repeat visit to Cuba as they also came in 2002 when they lost the three games: 2-5 to Matanzas, 4-6 to Pinar del Rio and 3-7 to Industriales.
This will be a warm-up series for all the players as the Mexican League will start soon, while Cubans will use it as training towards the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in Barranquilla, Colombia.
