Cuba to face Mexico Today in Basketball Men´s World Cup Qualifiers

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 26 (acn) Cuba will face Mexico today at Havana´s Sports City Coliseum on the fourth matchday of the 2019 FIBA Men´s World Cup qualifying tournament.

Included in Group C of the Americas qualifiers, the Cuban team has balance of three losses and no win; while Mexico (1-2) appears third in the Poole that is lead by United States (3-0), followed by Puerto Rico (2-1).
Last Friday, Americans easily beat Cubans 84-48 at home, in Santa Cruz, California, with highlight to Xavier Silas, with 13 points, and Rodney Purvis (12).
Cuba´s best scorers were forward Yoanki Mencia, with 11 units, and guard Osmel Oliva (10), while pivot Javier Justiz (6) grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Caribbean island previously lost 66-72 away and 72-95 at home to Mexico and Puerto Rico, respectively.
The Americas qualifiers grant seven tickets to China 2019 WC.
