HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 22 (acn) Right-hander Yoalkis Cruz was a key factor in Las Tunas´ 4-3 victory over Pinar del Río, whom they swept at Julio Antonio Mella stadium. Thus, Cruz became the first pitcher to reach 12 wins, and was supported by the offensive of DH Danel Castro, who hit 2 for 3 with an RBI, while OF Jorge Jhonson remains on fire when batting 2 for 4.
Cruz pitched eight innings allowing 3 runs and five hits, with two strikeouts and no walks, while reliever Isbel Hernandez took the loss.
