HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 15 (acn) Venezuela broke Cuba's three-game winning streak in the 3rd U15 Pan American Baseball Championship, based in Cartagena, Colombia.
After this result, Venezuela, Cuba and the United States now lead Group B with three wins and one loss each and maintain the fight for qualifying to semifinals.
The three of them play today their last group match, and the Caribbean island seems to have the weakest rival as they face Argentina which appears last in this Poole B.
USA will face Nicaragua while Venezuela will rival Panama, both teams with baseball tradition.
In yesterday´s other results, USA knocked out 15-0 Argentina and Panama beat 13-4.
Meanwhile, in Poole A, Brazil also knocked out 16-0 Honduras and Colombia also lost its undefeated status when losing 8-9 to the DR, which already qualified to semifinals with a 4-0 balance.
This tournament grants four tickets to the World Cup to be held next year in the Dominican Republic.
