Cuban baseball team departs for the Netherlands

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 29 (acn) The Cuban team that will attend the 16th edition of the Rotterdam Baseball Tournament traveled to the important Dutch port city, where they will face three other squads from July 1 to 9.

Managed by Vladimir Hernandez, they will have the honor to inaugurate the contest against Curazao next Saturday.
Then they will face sides from Japan, Chinese Taipei and the Netherlands, in that order.
July 5th will be a resting day for Cubans and the final round of the tournament will start a day later.
Cuban teams have won a dozen crowns in these contests that are annually held in the Dutch cities of Rotterdam and Haarlem, in what is called the Baseball Week.
