Cuba lost to the New Jersey Jackals at the Can–Am LeagueHAVANA, Cuba, Jun 26 (acn) Cuba lost 5-6 to the New Jersey Jackals in the Canadian American (CAN-AM) Independent Baseball League in match held at Yogi Berra Stadium.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Cubans were ahead 5-4, but closer Luis Castro, who had relieved Yasmany Hernandez after allowing one single and two walks, surrendered another walk and a walk-off hit by center fielder Dvontrey Richardson, best batter of the game when hitting 3 for 5, with two RBIs.
The locals went ahead in the second frame when scoring four runs off lefty Ulfrido Garcia, Cuba´s starting pitcher, and first reliever Frank Medina.
The Caribbean side took the lead in the ninth by stepping in the home plate five times with an attack of five hits, including a two-RBI double by 2B JuanTorriente.
Third baseman Jefferson Delgado was Cuba´s best batter when hitting 2 for 4 with an RBI.
So far, the team managed by Roger Machado has balance of 4 wins and 14 losses.
Today, Cuba will have its only resting day - it has played 18 games in a row - and will finish its participation in the Can-Am League with a subseries of three games, starting on Tuesday, against the Rockland Boulders, at Palisades Park.
