Cuba wins Gold and Silver Medals in NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 26 (acn) Cuba's duos of Karell Peña and Daisel Quesada, and Lianma Flores and Yanisleidis Sanchez earned gold and silver medals, respectively, in the third stop of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit, based in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Peña and Quesada won the title when defeating 2-0 (21-13 and 22-20) Americans Miles Evans and William Kolinske, and this was their third consecutive crown, as they previously won the stops of Mexico and the US Virgin Islands.
The bronze medal went to Canada´s Nusbaum and Binstock, who beat 2-0 (21-12 and 21-14) Costa Ricans Monge and Smith.
Meanwhile, the women´s pair of Flores and Sanchez ranked second after losing 0-2 (18-21 and 7-21) to Canadians Broder and Bukovec, according to the website of the contest.
Americans Cook and Spieler got the bronze medal by beating 2-0 (21-18 and 21-13) Canada´s Rancourt-Bedard.
