HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 13 (acn) Cuba will participate from June 17-25 in the 16th edition of the Women´s Pan-American Volleyball Cup, based in Peru, event to be attended by 12 countries in search of tickets for the Grand Prix.
Cubans were included in Group A, along with the Dominican Republic, defending champion, Canada, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago and the host team, with stage at Eduardo Dibos Coliseum, in the city of Lima.
According to NORCECA website, Poole B includes Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, current runner-up, United States, bronze medalist, and Venezuela, in the Lolo Fernandez Dome, in Cañete province.
Cuba got the crown in the first version of 2002 and repeated in 2004, 2005 and 2007, while Americans won in 2003, 2012, 2013 and 2015; the Dominicans triumphed in 2008, 2010, 2014 and 2016, and Brazilians, who do not participate now, were the champions in 2006, 2009 and 2011.
