Cuba loses to Quebec Capitales in Can-Am baseball league

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 13 (acn) The Quebec Capitales beat 10-2 Cuba in the Canadian-American Independent Baseball League (Can-Am) at the Stade Canac Stadium.

Cuban starting pitcher Dachel Duquesne got the loss when allowing six earned runs and five hits in just one-and-two-third innings, including a three-run homer by Dutch Kaliam Sams.
It is worth mentioning that the Cuban team used five pitchers in this match.
The Capitales best batter was Cuban Yurisbel Gracial, who hit 2 for 3, while the also Cuban Yordan Manduley hit 1 for 5 with an RBI.
Keegan Yuhl earned the win despite allowing 10 hits in six innings.
Cuba´s runs were scored in the fifth frame thanks to a two-RBI hit by Guillermo Aviles.
DH Yordanis Samon, 3 for 5, and catcher Ariel Martinez (2 for 3) led the Cuban offensive performance, which totaled 12 hits.
This was the second consecutive defeat of the Caribbean squad as they lost 3-6 to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles on Sunday, team they had previously beat three times in a row.
Today´s Cuban starter against Quebec could be the right-hander Vladimir Baños, who got the first win of his side in the tournament.
