HAVANA, Cuba, May 5 (ACN) Cuba's U-20 soccer team lost 1-5 to Angola in their final match for Group A of the Toulon Tournament, in France.
In previous games, Cubans drew 1-1 with Japan and lost 1-7 to England, leader of the poole and thus qualified to semifinals.
According to the official website of the event, Chico Banza scored a hat-trick in the 2nd, 40th and 54th minutes and Rui (42') and Va (72') netted Angola´s other goals, while Lazaro Tuero (62') saved Cuba´s honor.
In the other match of this group, England beat 2-1 Japan.
Ivory Coast in Pool B and Czech Republic (C), both with six points, head their respective groups.
This 45th edition of the tournament, now called Maurice Revello to honor its founder, runs until May 10.
