Cuban U17 soccer team loses 0-3 to El Salvador

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 31 (ACN) The Cuban U17 soccer team lost 3-0, in the second and last friendly match against El Salvador, thus closing their tour of Central America.

In their first game between the two squads, last Monday, Cuba also lost 2-0. It is worth mentioning that both squads will attend the CONCACAF final, based in Panama in April and in which 12 teams will compete for four tickets to the World Cup in India, next October.

This last game was the sixth on Central American soil. If joining them to two others they played last month in Jamaica, the final balance was of one win, one draw and six losses, with 7 for and 21 against goals.

In Jamaica they tied 1-1 and then lost 0-1 and during their tour of Central America, they were defeated twice by Panama (2-4 and 0-5) and later they won 2-1 and lost 2-4 to Honduras.

Five out of the seven Cuban goals were scored by left-wing Rivaldo Roldan, including two penalties.
