US university students to play baseball game against Cuban team

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 25 (acn) The baseball team from Rice University, in Houston, Texas, will face a squad from Artemisa province academy in the first of five matches in Cuba.

According to the program announced, the games will always be at 1:30 p.m., and the first of them will be today at 26 de Julio stadium, says the digital edition of JIT sports publication.
Jesús Barroso, member of Cuba´s National Baseball Directorate, told JIT that on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27, the Americans will face the academies of Mayabeque, at Nelson Fernández Park, and Pinar del Río, at Captain San Luis Field, respectively.
The other two matches will be on November 30 and December 2 against the sides of Havana, at Latinoamericano stadium, and Cienfuegos, at 5 de Septiembre ballpark, in that order.
