HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 11 (acn) Cuban Leinier Domínguez lost to Russia's Dmitry Andreikin and saw his team, Mednyi Vsadnik, to descend to the third seat of the 32nd European Chess Club Cup taking place in Novi Sad, Serbia.
In this fifth round of the contest, Dominguez lost in 45 moves of a Scottish opening.
Dominguez didn´t lose since Ukrainian Vasili Ivanchuk beat him at the Capablanca Memorial last June 13th.
The Alkaloid defeated 3.5-2.5 the Mednyi Vsadnik, and now is the solo leader with 10 points.
