Cuban Ermes Espinosa wins Mexican Chess TournamentHavana, Cuba, Oct 24 (acn) Cuban Ermes Espinosa won in the final round and earned the scepter of the Jose de Jesus Hernandez chess tournament played since last Thursday in the Mexican city of Pachuca.

According to the specialized site www.chess-results.com, Espinosa completed his good performance with win over the local Juan Carlos Gonzalez and totaled 5.5 points from possible 7.
The Cuban runner-up a year ago now achieved four wins and three draws to reach a balance that allowed him exceeding in half an unit his compatriot Isan Ortiz, Dutch Sergey Tiviakov and Peruvian Emilio Córdova.
Ortiz and Tiviakov shared the top with Espinosa before the final round, but they signed peace in the game between them, outcome which left them second and fourth, in that order, while Cordova beat Mexican Uriel Capo and finished third.
The next best of Cuba was the sixth seat of Yasser Quesada (4.5 points) after drawing with his brother Yuniesky, who finished eighth despite his status as first seed in the contest.
Meanwhile, the also Cuban player Lazaro Bruzon drew with Aztec Roberto Martin del Campo and was tenth (4.5), also below expectations.
ELO fluctuations of each of them are the best example of their disparate performances, because while Espinosa added 5.5 units and Isan just 0.7, Yuniesky lost 11.5 and Bruzon 10.9 points respectively.
