HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 3 (acn) One day after being crowned in advance as part of the Sestao Foundacion EDP, Cuban Leinier Dominguez drew with Polish Kacper Piorun and finished unbeaten at the Spanish Chess Team Championship Honor Division (CECLUB by its Spanish acronym).
Moved from his usual second to first board, Dominguez (2736 Elo points) signed peace in 31 moves of a Spanish opening for a total of six units in seven presentations, including 5 wins.
His performance in this contest also earned him 15.8 points for his Elo coefficient and virtually ranks 17th in the world ranking with 2 751.8 units.
The farewell match against the Equigoma Casa Social Catolica was almost a pure "procedure" for Sestao, tourney king since the previous day, but it even won 4-3 to total 13 points.
