Cuban GM Dominguez keeps winning streak in SpainHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) Cuban Leinier Dominguez gave proof again of his good performance when winning for the third time in the Spanish Team Championship Honor Division (CECLUB by its Spanish acronym) held in Aragon community.

Dominguez (2720 Elo units) beat Ukrainian Vladimir Baklan (2619) in 46 moves of a French defense.

Thus, he totals 3.5 points in four outings, and climbed to 17th seat in the "live" world ranking while defending the second board of the Sestao Foundacion EDP, which defeated 4-3 Jaime Casas and remained on top of the standings with seven points.

Similar is the amount achieved by the Merida Patrimonio de la Humanidad, victimizer 4.5-2.5 of the Equigoma Casa Social Catolica, which includes in their ranks the also Cuban Yuniesky Quesada (2634), who drew for fourth consecutive time, now against Croatian Ivan Saric (2668).

The Equigoma has not had a good performance as it only totals two units and appears penultimate among the eight teams involved in the contest which ends next Sunday.

In the other results of the day, the Club Magic Extremadura won 5-2 over the VTI Chess 24 Atocha, and the Gors Xaque Taldea overcame 4.5-2.5 the Solvay, current defending champion.

The Extremadura ranks third with five points and is followed by Jaime Casas (4), Taldea and Solvay (3) and Atocha (1).

Today´s pairings are Sestao-Taldea, Solvay-Atocha, Extremadura-Equigoma and Merida-Jaime Casas.
