HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 27 (acn) Makhosini Hlongwane, Minister of Sport and Recreation of the Republic of Zimbabwe, ratified when arriving to Cuba his country's interest in strengthening bilateral sports cooperation relations.
For that reason, the distinguished visitor has scheduled for Wednesday the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Cuba´s National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym) and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation of the African nation, which will increase the exchange in different areas of the sector.
Antonio Becali Garrido, INDER president, welcomed Hlongwane at Jose Marti International Airport, where both officials held a brief dialogue on different topics related to closer ties in sport and recreation.
During its stay on the Caribbean island, which will end on Wednesday, the delegation of Zimbabwe plans to visit the Institute of Sports Medicine, the National Volleyball School and the newly opened Cuban Sports Scientific Research Center, all located in Havana.
The visiting minister is accompanied among others by Yudinance Chihuri, his Legal Adviser.
