Cuba: Two Queens at the Paralympics in RioHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 10 (acn) Cuba obtained on Friday its first two titles at the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, with the triumphs of sprinter Omara Durand and judoka Dalidaivis Rodríguez.

The first crown was for Rodríguez, also queen four years ago after defeating Ukrainian Iryna Husieva at the 2014 World Cup held in the United States, the www.radioreloj.cu Web site reported.
Durand set a world record in the 100 meters T12 category with 11, 40 seconds, accompanied by her guide Yuniol Kindelán, which won her the gold medal.
Other results of the day were those of judoka Gerardo Rodríguez, who finished fifth, and javelin thrower Gerdan Fonseca, eighth; while swimmer Juan Castillo could not make it to the finals of the 400 meter free style.
