Boxer Arlen Lopez gives Cuba its fifth gold in Rio Olympics

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 20 (acn) Cuban middle weight boxer Arlen Lopez gave Cuba its fifth gold medal in the boxing tournament of the 2016 Olympic Games underway in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

Lopez, world champion in 2015, faced Uzbek Bektemir Melikuziev in the final combat and won it on a unanimous decision thanks to his good shape and true hitting during the three rounds.
Cuba had once again boxing as its main sport, with three gold medals after Julio Cesar La Cruz in the 81 kilogram division, and Robeisy Ramirez in the 52.
With the latest gold medals Cuba climbed momentarily to the 17th spot in the medal standings with one day to go
