RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Aug 19 (acn) Cuban Leonel Suarez, World and Olympic medalist, finished sixth in decathlon, athletics event of the Olympic Games based in this Brazilian city that was won by American Ashton Eaton with 8 893 units.
Although this time Suarez could not reach the bronze medals he earned in Beijing 2008 and London 2012, he totaled 8 460 points which was his season best.
This competition also involved the also Cuban Yordani Garcia, who finished 18th with 7 961 points.
