RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Aug 15 (acn) Cuban Mijain Lopez (130 kg), double Olympic champion, debuted with victory in the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, based in this Brazilian city.
Owner of five world titles, Lopez won 3-0 over Heiki Nabis, from Estonia, London 2012 Olympic silver medalist, and in his next presentation he will face Swedish Magnus Euren, who defeated 5-0 Australian Ivan Popov.
Also today, Riza Kayaalp, from Turkey, twice world monarch and executioner of Lopez in the 2011 and 2015 editions, premiered with victory by technical superiority of 8-0 over Venezuelan Erwin Caraballo.
