Cuban cyclist Lisandra Guerra finishes 20 in RioRIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Aug 15 (acn) Cuban cyclist Lisandra Guerra was out of the way to the medals discussion when finishing 20th among 27 competitors in the women´s individual sprint in the cycling event of the 31st Olympic Games.

Guerra, world multi-medalist and Pan American champion, recorded 11,171 seconds, insufficient to be included in the knockout stage to which did access the first 18 competitors.
Thus, Guerra said goodbye to Rio 2016, after starring a discreet performance yesterday in the keirin event, in which she finished 17th.
The favorites to win the gold medal in the women´s individual sprint are British Rebecca James (10,721), who set an Olympic record in the qualifying round, the also British Katy Marchant (10,787), German Kristina Vogel (10,865) and the experienced Australian Anna Meares (10,947).
Lisandra Guerra is considered the best Cuban cyclist in the last decade with relevant results in World Cups and Championships, as well as in Pan American and Central American Games.
