Cuban judoka Castillo finishes fifth in Rio

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Aug 12 (ACN) Cuban Yalennis Castillo (78 kg) finished fifth in the judo tournament of the 31st Olympic Games Rio 2016, held in this South American city.

Castillo lost 1-0 to the local Mayra Aguiar, London 2012 bronze medalist and world champion in Cheliabinsk 2014.
The Beijing 2008 silver medalist totaled 4 bouts, two wins and equal number of losses, and told reports she gave her best in each fight despite competing with her left shoulder infiltrated and also suffering from discomforts on one of her elbows.
On the possibilities of Idalis Ortiz (78), number two in the world ranking, Olympic champion and twice world monarch, said she will get the expected medal.
She is our main trump card and will surely get it. She has great sports expertise and is very well trained for that, Castillo noted.
