Cuba against Dominican Republic in Women´s U20 Volleyball ContinentalHAVANA, Cuba, Jul 28 (acn) Cuba will face today the Dominican Republic, in game of unbeaten teams for the top of Group A in the 2016 NORCECA Women´s U20 Volleyball Continental Championship, held in the United States.

With stage at the NSU Arena at the Don Taft Univ. Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Cubans will clash with Dominicans, in both cases with balances of two wins without losses.
The winning team will advance directly to the semifinals, while the losing side will go to quarter finals, hence the importance of winning.
On Wednesday, Cuba defeated 3-0 (25-5, 25-9 and 25-10) Costa Rica, demonstrating superiority in attack (40-13) , blocking (6-0) and aces (11-0), according to the stats of the website of the contest which awards a ticket to the 2017 World Cup.
The scoring leader of the match was Cuban inside hitter Dairis Perez, who scored 13 points, followed by her teammates, central blocker Laura Suarez (12) and setter Dalila Palma (10).
The Dominicans also achieved their second win by beating Haiti 3-0 (25-15, 25-6, 25-10).
United States (2-0) leads Pool B after winning 3-0 and 3-1 over French St. Martin and Puerto Rico, in that order.
US will play today versus Mexico (1-1), second in the standings, escorted by Puerto Rico (1-1) and French St. Martin (0-2).
