HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 21 (acn) Cuba beat 5-0 the host Saint Maarten in the third and final match of Group 1 of the first stage of the 2016 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Men's U-20 tournament.
Cuban goals were scored by Eduard Enrique 7', Lazaro Zanetti 9', Dariel Alejandro 68', 80' and Yoan Humberto 82'.
Thus, the pupils of Coach Raúl González Triana finished second in this poole with 6 points as they had previously defeated Puerto Rico (2-1) and lost to Antigua y Barbuda (1-2) on their debut.
Antiguans (7) topped the standings and Puerto Ricans (4) and the hosts (0) followed them in that order.
The winners of each of the four groups plus the three best runner-ups advance to the final round group stage to be held in Curacao from October 21 to 26 this year.
The teams advancing from this competition will participate in the CONCACAF Men's U20 Championship in 2017 and further to FIFA U-20 World Cup Finals.
