Cuban rowers win final B in World CupHAVANA, Cuba, Jun 20 (acn) Cubans Eduardo Rubio and Adrian Oquendo won the B final of the (M2x) men's double sculls event at the Rowing World Cup, with a stage on Lake Malta, in the city of Poznan, Poland.

According to the website of the contest, Rubio and Oquendo crossed the finish line first with time of 6: 16,250 minutes, performance that earned them the seventh seat overall.
Their closest pursuers were Australians David Watts and Christopher Morgan (6: 17.900), followed by Dutch Floris Roling and Koen Metsemakers (6: 23.250) and Chinese Haitao Sun and Pengpeng Cai (6: 29.150), in an event in which only four boats competed.
The A final was won by New Zealanders Christopher Harris and Robert Manson (6: 08,340), who were escorted by Englishmen Jonathan Walton and John Collins (6: 08,970) and French Matthieu Androidas and Hugo Boucheron (6: 09150), in that order.
Meanwhile, Norwegians Kjetil Borch and Olaf Tufte (6:11.230), Italians Francesco Fossi and Romano Battisti (6:17,290) and Serbians Marko Marjanovic and Andrija Sljukic (6:18,790) finished from fourth to sixth spots respectively.
The Cuban pair is already qualified for the Olympic Games of next August in Rio de Janeiro, as well as Angel Fournier, who did not compete in Poznan by not having the proper boat, and used his stay there to continue training toward the Olympics.
