HAVANA, Cuba, May 27 (acn) Dayaris Mestre will be in charge today of Cuba's debut at the beginning of the Guadalajara World Judo Masters, in Mexico, scheduled to take place until next Sunday in the Lopez Mateo multisport gym.
According to the website of the contest, last qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games of coming August in Rio de Janeiro, Mestre will face Belgian Charline Van Snick, in the preliminaries of the 48 kilograms.

Meanwhile, women Yelennis Castillo (78) and Idalis Ortiz (+78), and men Asley González (90), Jose Armenteros (100) and Alex Garcia (+100) will have as opponents to British Natalie Powell, Russian Ksenia Chisisova and Azeri Mammadali Mehdiyev, Elkhan Mammadov, and Ushangi Kokauri, in that order.
This event is attended by 235 judokas from 51 countries, led by the first 16 seats in the global ranking of the 14 Olympic divisions.
The list of leading figures registered in this competition includes Olympic champions Idalis Ortiz (Cuba), Tagir Khaibulaev (Russia), Kayla Harrison (USA), Sarah Menezes (Brazil) and Japanese Kaori Matsumoto.
The gold medalists will earn 700 points for the Olympic ranking, which grants 22 (m) and 14 (w) direct tickets to Rio.
