The top scorer of the match was Mexican Jorge Barajas (17) in a game in which Cubans led the blocking, with balance of 19-4, service (4-3) and unforced errors (34-38), while in the attack they were equal (40-40).
In the other semifinal match, Argentina beat 3-1 (34-32, 24-26, 25-22 and 25-22) Canada.
