Cuban Iglesias Gives Cuba 3rd Ticket to Semifinals in Boxing

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 17 (acn) Roniel Iglesias gave Cuba its third ticket to the semifinals of the Olympic Qualifying Boxing tournament, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after easily beating U.S. boxer Paul Kroll in the quarterfinal stage.

Thus, Iglesias, Olympic and world champion in the 69 kilograms joined cruiser Erislendy Savon and super heavyweight Leinier Pero, who had won their tickets the previous day.
In statements to Prensa Latina, the Cuban boxer told he strictly followed the plan devised by his coaches, so he expects to attend the Games in Rio de Janeiro to defend the crown he won in London 2012.
