Cuban Sierra seventh in women´s scratch in World Track CyclingHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 4 (acn) Cuban Arlenis Sierra finished seventh in the women's scratch event during the second day of the World Track Cycling Championships, with a stage in the British city of London.

Sierra, who won the first stage of the World Cup held in Cali, Colombia, last October, was the only Latin American among the top 10 riders and the second representative of the Americas, behind Canadian bronze medalist Stephanie Roorda.
The official website of the contest reflects that the hostess Laura Trott won the event, while the silver medal went to Dutch Kirsten Wild.
The also Cuban Lisandra Guerra was eliminated in the keirin repechage round, so she run out of options to climb for the third consecutive time the awards podium of that event, as she had been bronze medalist in Minsk 2013 (Belarus) and Paris 2015 (France).
Today, Guerra will run again on the London velodrome but this time in the 500 meter time trial, event in which she holds several of her main results worldwide, as the crown won in the also British city of Manchester , in 2008.
