Cubans participate in wrestling tournament in the USHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 4 (acn) With action in the women's event, the wrestling continental qualifying tournament starts today in the US city of Frisco, Texas, which will grant tickets to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Cuba will be represented by six women in the freestyle event in a team that leads Holguin´s Katherine Vidiaux (63 kilograms), fifth seat in the WC of Moscow 2010, eighth in London 2012 Olympics and Guadalajara 2011 Pan American champion.
Along with Vidiaux, another wrestler with aspirations of reaching the berth will be Lisset Echevarria (75), who won the Cartagena de Indias 2006 Central American and Caribbean championships.
Jacqueline Estornell (58), continental queen in Panama 2013 and silver medalist at the Pan American Games in Toronto, held last July, will also attend the Olympic qualifier.
The Cuban squad a lso includes Yudari Sanchez (69), continental monarch in Santiago de Chile 2015; Yusnelis Guzman (48), runner-up in Veracruz 2014, and the rookie Lienna Caridad Montero (53).
The finalists in each division will earn the ticket to the Games in Rio de Janeiro, to which Greco-Roman wrestlers Ismael Borrero (59) and the double Olympic champion Mijail Lopez (130) already secured their participation.
The men's event of this Olympic Wrestling Qualifying Tournament will also be attended by six Cuban freestyle athletes, who will go out to the mattress tomorrow, and on Sunday, at the closing date, will be the turn of the four competitors in the Greco-Roman style.
