HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 13 (acn) The Cuba Domadores met predictions when beating 5-0 China Dragons to maintain an impeccable performance in qualifying group A of the 6th World Series of Boxing (WSB).
The combination of established and novice figures perfectly worked again for last year´s runner up and thus they matched their performance two weeks ago at the expense of Turkey Conquerors.
The Sport Center of the city of Sanya hosted this event of the divisions of C-1 format and both the Olympic champion Robeisy Ramirez (56 kg) as the universal champion Arlen Lopez (75) responded as leaders.
Robeisy easily beat 3-0 Long Wang by neutralizing him based on mobility, accurate punching and marked overall difference
Arlen again showed his excellent form and defeated Minggang Zhao by TKO in the third round in bout he was easily mastering.
Kevin Brown ( 64) won 3-0 over Qianxun Hu to score his second win in as many presentations since Cuba paricipates into the series, and Frank Sanchez (91) and Santiago Amador debuted in different ways.
The first one barely found resistance in Mingtao Li and won 3-0 without need of showing too much, and Amador was not the usual impetuous fighter he is an achieved a 2-1 verdict which left unsatisfied the audience who considered Xin Huang was better than him .
But assessments outside, the truth is that the decision to preserve important figures again worked, and now there are 10 straight wins of the winning team of the 4th WSB .
The Cuban squad will visit on February 26th the Ukraine Otomans, who so far also achieve two wins in equal number of outings in Group A: 4-1 over Turkey Conquerors and 5-0 versus the China Dragons.
