HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 4 (acn) Cuban GM Lazaro Bruzon (2 666 Elo points) drew with Spanish Reinier Vazquez (2 572) during the 9th and penultimate round of the Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival 2016.
After this result, Bruzon totals 6 units and appears tied on seats 18th to 47th with 30 other players, including Polish Radoslaw Wojtaszek (2 727), French Laurent Fressinet (2 700), Chinese Ni Hua (2 697), among others.
Bruzon had lost his unbeaten status in the previous round to Frenchman Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (2 785) in 49 moves of a Spanish opening.
