Zhang Haixia , with eight goals, led the offensive of the winners, while Livia Veranes was Cuba's best scorer with seven goals.
Lisandra Luzon and Glenys Reyes, with five and four goals, respectively, also highlighted for the losing side.
Tomorrow Cuba will rival Angola, to face Holland a day later and close the qualifying stage against Sweden on Friday 11.
Last Saturday, on its debut, Cuba was beaten 27-22 by Poland.
The first four teams of each group advance to the next round or knockout phase, whereas those finishing fifth and sixth will fight for seats from 17 to 24.
This universal event is attended by 24 teams divided into four groups, with highlight for Brazil, current world champion.
This is Cuba's third experience in world tournaments, as it previously attended the 1999 and 2011 editions.
