HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 3 (acn) The first friendly match of Kickboxing in the low-kick form and K-1 Rule between the amateur national teams of Cuba and the United States will be held this Friday at 2pm at the Sports City Coliseum of Havana.
Eric Gutierrez, Director of Recreation of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym) said the match is scheduled to 10 bouts of three rounds of two minutes each, in the categories of 57, 60, 63.5, 67, 71, 81 and 91 kilograms.
Americans have a selection of the amateur national team, placed in the top of the world ranking, led by Charles Post, president of the World Association of Kick-boxing Organizations (WAKO) in that country.
The Cuban School of Kick-Boxing and Allied Arts was founded in 1990 and the country is a member of WAKO since February 1998, so it receives support from international organizations for the development of the different disciplines within it.
