Cuban U-17 women's soccer team will face HaitiHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 20 (acn) The Cuban U-17 women's soccer team will face Haiti today in crucial match for the semifinals of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), based in Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

The girls coached by Constantino Valdés finished second in the preliminary round of Group A with six points , thanks to two wins and one loss, four goals in favor and three against, behind Jamaica, which totaled seven points.
Meanwhile, the Haitian squad had perfect performance of nine points by winning all three matches and finished as leader of Poole B, which also involved Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and the Dominican Republic.
The other semifinal will be between Jamaicans and Trinidadians. The winners of those matches will not only discuss the title of the tournament, but will also advance to the CONCACAF finals, based in Granada, which will involve eight teams that will go in search of three tickets to the World Cup, to be held next year in Jordan.
If Valdes decides to maintain against Haitian the line-up used in the previous three games, the goalkeeper would be Liameuris Hernandez, along with defenders Melissa Cerda, Wendy Corcho, Yatmisleydis Nunez and Maria Claridad Alvarez.
Moreover, the midfielders would be Yenifer Ramos, Claudia Prats, Leyda Chirino and Sairy Ferrer, while Maritania Mengana and captain Lilian Perez would be the forwards.
