Cuban badminton player Guerrero undefeated in Suriname

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 20 (acn) Cuban Osleni Guerrero will today seek his third victory in the International Badminton Tournament hosted by Suriname, which would earn him a ticket to the semifinal stage if defeating Mexican Lino Muñoz.

The runner-up of Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games previously beat 2-0 (21-11 and 21-15) Hungarian Gergely Krausz and Mexican Arturo Hernandez also 2-0 (21-9 and 21-15), as reflected in the official site of the contest.
Guerrero, who appears 72nd in the universal ranking –went down 11 seats in that classification- needs to improve his performance in these competitions to continue adding points in the world ranking and have greater chances of qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
So far this season, the Cuban player has won the crown in the 16th edition of Giraldilla tournament, which took place in Havana last March; besides the title in the Chile International event.
