Cuban U-17 women's soccer team lost 2-1 to JamaicaHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 18 (acn) The Cuban U-17 women's soccer team lost 2-1 to Jamaica on Tuesday during the third round of Group A in the final of the Caribbean Football Union tourney based at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

According to the website of the contest, Cuba scored first by a penalty kick taken by Yilianni Sablon at 61st minute, but Jamaican Rena Gordon appeared and in just three minutes scored pair of goals at minutes 68th and 71st.

After this result, both teams advanced to the semifinals. Jamaica did it as first in the group by totaling seven points, while Cuba was second with six units, thanks to two wins and one loss.

This event brings together eight teams divided into two groups. Poole B includes the squads of Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, Barbados and the Dominican Republic.

The two sides reaching the gold medal match will advance to the final of the CONCACAF, based in Granada, which will involve eight teams that will compete in search of three tickets to the World Championship of the category, to be held next year in Jordan.
